Most people love animals, and dogs are on top of the list. You’ll hear many people say their dogs are their best friends and that they will do anything to know they are happy and healthy. If you have a dog, you probably feel the same.
But let me ask you this: Would you put your own life on the line to save your dog? Well, most people won’t. Fear has a huge influence in our lives and sometime stops us from being the kind of persons we would like to be. However, some people are able to overcome their fears and put other living beings above themselves. And this brave man is one of those people.
He saved a dog that had fallen into the ocean in Melbourne, Australia and was in danger of drowning!
Sue Drummond was enjoying a walk with her tiny Maltese-shitzu mix named Bibi, when all of a sudden the puppy was taken away by the strong wind. Within seconds, the dog was in the water, struggling to keep his head afloat while his helpless owner was desperately crying on the pier. Nonetheless, a young man named Sue Drummond, noticed the poor puppy and rushed to save him.
Without thinking twice, the man jumped into the water as soon as he noticed the Maltese – Shih Tzu in the water struggling to breathe. While walking along the pier with his mom, the poor dog ended up into the water, in moments, due to a strong wind.
“It was pretty cold and windy, but it wasn’t such a hard decision to jump in, it wasn’t such a great feat,” the young hero later explained for the Herald Sun.
Thanks to the young’s man bravery, Bibi was rescued and reunited with his crying owner!
“I thought he was going to sink and then maybe I wouldn’t be able to find him,” the woman said. “But I didn’t really want to hop in the water either because I wasn’t quite sure if I could make it to shore with a struggling dog.”
