Wild beaver spotted in supermarket looking for a Christmas tree

It’s the Christmas tree what makes the winter holidays unique. Of course, Christmas spirit is more than that, but unboxing, laughing and spending quality time with the loved ones – it can’t be done without a Christmas tree. Apparently this lovely routine isn’t just for humans, but animals as well. Otherwise it’s impossible to explain this beaver’s attempt to find the perfect decorations for Christmas.

Yes, you read it right. Customers at a dollar store in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, could not believed their eyes when spotted wild beaver walking through the front door and heading straight to the Christmas aisle. Of course, initially they all thought it must be some sort of joe, or something. However, everyone knew it’s serious business when the unlikely customer started to ransack through the artificial Christmas trees.

Turned out, the beaver wasn’t too satisfied by what he found, so he moved went further and its next stop was at the discounted holiday decor. Even cute, the fur customer was not to gentle in behavior and after he dropped a few things on the floor, the police arrived at the scene.

“Corporal Yingling had an interesting call on Monday when the suspect, pictured below, caused property damage to a dollar store in Charlotte Hall,” St. Mary’s County Sheriff Office wrote on Facebook. “The suspect attempted to flee the area but was apprehended by Animal Control… As a law enforcement officer, you just never know what your next call might be.”

The curios beaver was eventually forced to leave the store empty handed. A few hours later officers helped him to get back in the wild. However, it turns out, this isn’t the first a beaver takes a local store for shopping. Take a look:
