Paige Knudtson knew that pups and little babies make great duos. So when she find out she’s pregnant she went to a local rescue shelter and adopted a 2-year-old boxer. Brutus, how she named the family’s four-legged member, proved to be nothing but a gentle giant. And that was only the beginning, because only when little Finn was born, Paige truly realized what a bond between a mini-human and a dog actually means!

Since the day they’ve met, Brutus and Finn became inseparable. Whether the toddler is eating or napping, his furry brother is always there with him. “Brutus often curls up wherever Finn is sitting and follows him from room to room in our house,” the mom told The Dodo. “If Finn is sick, Brutus knows it and just stays right by Finn’s side or lays his head on Finn’s chest.”

Even their special connection is something heart-melting, in every sense of the word, Finn and Brutus proved there’s room for more. As the little boy grew up, his parents decided it is time for him to sleep in his own bed. But that means a single bed, so Brutus would had to sleep on the floor, to be close to his best buddy. However, Paige has recently caught on camera one of the sweetest moments you’ll ever seen.

While there isn’t enough space for both the now 4-year-old dog and the 23-month-old boy, they somehow the perfect solution to share the same sleeping place. In an extremely adorable footage Finn can be seen sneaking out of his bed, taking his tiny blanket and lay himself comfortable next to his favorite dog.

“Finn sleeps with Brutus all night, every night,” Paige said. “Whether it’s in the dog bed, Finn’s bed or the floor — the two always sleep together.” Watch the lovely scene, here:
