This former marine rescues shelter dogs

If you have or ever had a dog, then you know how much comfort and joy they can bring you. Even if you’ve had a really hard day or just going through a difficult time in your life, you know you can always count on your dog to be there and just give you some new perspective.
Christopher Baity and his wife, Amanda decided to start a project that would revolve around dogs’ incredible ability to heal and comfort people who are suffering. This is how the Semper K9 project was created.
Through this amazing project, dogs facing euthanasia in shelters are given new purpose and a second chance at a happy life. The dogs are paired with war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. It’s a win-win situation. The dogs are offered a home and a loving family, and the veterans become calmer and just able to cope with everyday life a lot better. As you know, post-traumatic stress can sometimes have fatal consequences, as many veterans who suffer from this condition unfortunately decide to end their own lives.
This initiative deserves all the support it can get, so make sure to share this video with all of your friends and family online.
