By now, I’m pretty sure that many of you reading this are familiar with the incredible work carried out by those at the “Make a Wish” foundation. The organization has impacted the lives of thousands of sick children by making it possible for them to fulfill certain dreams they had.
From meeting their idols to visiting new places, every single one of the children they’ve helped got to experience something they most likely wouldn’t be able to experience otherwise. In the case of the teen in the video below, fulfilling her biggest dream meant singing in front of a large audience.
Thanks to the foundation and her incredible voice, Andi Jones who was only 13 years old at the time, got a chance to sing “God Bless America” in front of a 75,000-strong audience. The performance was a truly memorable one and the memory of it will stay with her forever.
The teen was diagnosed with ciliary dyskinesia, a disease which causes life-threatening respiratory issues just four years ago, but despite the numerous visits to the hospital and painful treatments, Andi didn’t give up on her dream of becoming a singer. And that makes her an inspiration.
