Olympic skaters might not have the same notoriety as some of the other Olympic athletes but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be given more attention and be acknowledged for their incredible talent and hard work.
That being said, let this video be an introduction to you learning more about the outstanding world of professional ice skaters and meet Jason Brown, an American figure skater and Olympian who definitely knows how to put a show on ice.
Famous for his mind-bending flexibility and “trademark” ponytail, Jason Brown is a crowd-favorite on the ice – and it’s really no surprise why. In the clip below, you can watch him execute his now viral “Riverdance” performance at the 2014 U.S. Championship.
Then, Jason was only 18-years-old. Just a year later, in the 2015 U.S. Championships, Jason won the short program and received the second highest score in history, which is definitely no small feat.
Due to an injury, the young skater was unfortunately unable to compete in the 2016 edition, but returned in 2017 and went on to win the bronze medal at the Championships. But the best is still yet to come for this talented young ice skater who likes to do things differently on ice, as he will proudly represent the United States of America at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Now that you know more about Jason Brown and his career so far, it’s time to see him in action. Check out one of his most viewed performances, and if you enjoy it as much as we think you will, then please take a second to share it as well.
