A moving photo of a fawn resting next to a headstone has recently went viral on social media. The heartwarming moment was caught on camera by a member of the maintenance staff at the Andersonville National Cemetery, in Georgia!
The now viral scene show a young deer curled up at the ‘Unknown’ soldier’s headstone in Andersonville and an American flag next to it. The way the cute little thing gave honor to an unknown soldier resting there, has melted everyone’s heart as thousands of people shared the beautiful photo on Facebook.

“Today Park Maintenance Supervisor James Taylor spotted this young guest cozying up and giving special honor to an unknown soldier resting in Andersonville National Cemetery,” the historic site wrote on Facebook.
According to the staff, the fawn wasn’t abandoned there as later that day its mom came back for it. According to the authorities if a wild animal is seen napping alone, that doesn’t mean it might be abandoned. Its mom could return for it even after a few days.
Every spring, the lives of many young animals are disturbed by people who take them from the wild in a misguided attempt to “save” them. In most cases, the best thing you can do for young wild animals is leave them alone.https://t.co/4dGf7iWkSE pic.twitter.com/99HSuy68SZ
