Few animals are as adorable as baby deer are, don’t you think? Their innocent face and their beautiful markings are enough to melt anyone’s heart. It certainly happened in the case of the worker in the video below!
The man was out with one of his co-workers clearing a right of way for electric lines when he unexpectedly came across a fawn that was trapped in the fall path of a tree they were about to cut down. The baby deer was obviously scared and shaking. And because he was tangled in some thorns, the two men were afraid that the poor deer was also in a lot of pain. So they immediately cut him loose, but the fawn was still shaking and looking scared.
“My buddy and I were clearing a right of way for the electric lines and came across this fawn trapped in the fall path of the tree we were about to trim,” wrote YouTube user Justin Lewis in the caption of a video he posted with the rescue. “He was tangled in some thorns and was pretty shaken up after we cut him loose.”
So one of the man picked him up and started rubbing his belling in an attempt to comfort and calm him down. And it worked! In fact, the fawn enjoyed the friendly pet so much that he became instantly attached to the worker and refused to be put down. The entire interaction between them two was captured on video and has since then warmed up the hearts of thousands of people from all over the world.
Found this baby deer and we’re moving it out of the way so it doesn’t get smashed by a tree and we started rubbing its belly and now when we go put it down it freaks out until we start rubbings its belly again,” a person off camera can be heard.
