Let’s face it: watching certain videos online is a waste of time. There are some videos out there that make absolutely no sense. But we watch them anyway, precisely because of how ridiculous they are. What’s the latest silly video that fits this description and started an entire craze online? Well, I’m sure you’ve already watched it at least a couple of times, and then silently asked yourself: “What the hell did I just watch?”
I’m talking about PPAP, or the Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen song. Released on 25 August 2016, the video has since become a viral video, generating over 140 million views and spawning thousands of parodies. The song has even hailed as the new “Gangnam Style”.
The numbers are impressive, but things seemed to have started to calm down lately. I mean, people began getting bored of listening to the same 30 seconds over and over again.
But just when we thought the craze was over, a longer version of the song was released, and now it seems like we’re back where we started.
This second version is a lot longer – and a lot weirder. Take a look and see for yourself!
