Did you know that IQ testing existed even before there was the notion of IQ (intelligent quotient) as we know it today? That’s because interest in a person’s quotient of intelligence dates back thousands of years. However, the first known intelligence test can be traced back to psychologist Alfred Binet who commissioned a test to reveal which one of his students needed educational assistance. That happened sometime during the 1880s.

Since then, IQ testing has seen significant development and began being used to classify people into intelligence categories. Some versions still exist today, but the types mainly used nowadays are meant to assess someone’s intellectual potential, not their performance under stress.

Everybody is intelligent in their own unique way, whether it is emotional intelligence, verbal, logical, and so on.

That being said, for most of the modern IQ tests, the average score is set at 100. If you manage to solve this test, however, then you are likely to have an IQ greater than 150, which means your intelligence quotient is well above average.
