You know that sensation you have when there’s beer in the fridge but you know you have to wake up early in the morning to go to work? You really have to push yourself to resist that urge to open that bottle of beer because you know chances are it will lead to you opening another bottle, and then another, until you get somewhat drunk.
Well, it’s hard to wait to have a beer, even if we’re just talking about a few hours or days. Now imagine having to wait 32 years to open a beer!
This die-hard Cubs’ fan waited 32 years to enjoy a beer because he waiting for a special occasion. Here’s what the man’s granddaughter, Grace Johnson tweeted: “My grandpa put this beer in his fridge 32 years ago and said he would open it when the Cubs won the World Series. Today was that day.”
Well, I guess there are some things worth waiting for, right? The satisfied look on the man’s face when he finally cracks open the beer he’s been waiting three decades to enjoy almost makes me want to save that beer I have in my fridge for a special occasion. Well, almost.
