A surgeon living in Texas surprised one of his transplant patients, 15 year after he operated on her and most likely saved her life. Ashley is now a perfectly healthy teenage girl, but things weren’t always like this. Taylor was born with congenital cirrhosis of the liver and spent most of her life as a toddler in the hospital. That’s until Dr. Goldstein performed an operation in which he removed part of the liver from Taylor’s mom. The video below shows the emotional moment when the two see each other for the first time since that operation 15 years ago.
