However, due to the current health crisis, these years the park went into an extremely peacefully location, far away from the overcrowded place it used to be over the last years, especially during the blossom season. And in the absence of the tourists, the deer seem to enjoy the moment as they never did it before.

The popular park is home to over 1,000 wild deer, all “very playful and friendly,” as some tourists reviews suggest. In fact feeding them by the park’s visitors is actually a tradition. “You can walk up to the deer and take photos with them, or feed them with ‘deer-crackers’ on sale along the side of the road,” the park’s website reveals.
Seen as a “symbol of the city,” many of the deer in the park use to bow to visitors. For the cute animals that’s a way to ask for food. “Make sure to bow at them, as they will bow back,” a guest wrote in a review. “When we got the biscuits a lot of deer did run up to us, so just be aware of that. But they just want your biscuits!”
