It’s not easy to be on stage in front of hundreds of people who are looking at your every move and analyzing every little detail. However, the girls in the video below managed to overcome stage fright and amazed everyone at a sports gathering with their amazing voices.
The girl sang the National Anthem and proved that talent has nothing to do with age. The girls are a part of a Texas music group called the “Cactus Cuties”, and their successes is much due to an amazing woman called Terri Caldwell.
Terri and her husband opened The Cactus Theater in Lubbock, TX more than twenty years ago. Their goal was simple: to give the younger generation a chance to thrive and get their voices heard. They founded their own vocal academy and started to train young singers to give it their best.
Her dedication and work paid off, and Cami, her daughter, begin teaching herself. That’s how “Cactus Cuties” was born. The original members were very young, ranging from ages four to seven.
In the video below, you can see the group of girls, ages 8–13, perform the National Anthem at a college basketball game in Texas back in 2008.
