Myths and misunderstandings about people who are homeless often get in the way of actually solving this problem. Many people just assume homelessness is the result of a person’s addiction or gambling problem, but the spectrum of causes goes well above and beyond that.
Others understand that homelessness is a complex matter, but have no idea where to start helping. Merely donating to a charity or giving money to a homeless person on the street is not an efficient solution, long-term.
What these people need is a chance to turn their lives around. They need to be able to start making a living so that they can ultimately support themselves and regain their independence. And the only way to achieve this is by getting and keeping a job.
Unfortunately, not many businesses are willing to give homeless people a chance. But things are slowly starting to change thanks to creative concepts like the one shown in the video below.
