When you’re a kid, money is the least of your worries. There are other things that are more important than this, like playing and hanging out with your friends, doing homework and other things like that. Or that’s how things should be.
Unfortunately, money is a problem that many kids are faced with at a time in their lives when there’s nothing they can really do to solve it.
Cayden Taipalus, a student at Challenger Elementary in Howell saw first-hand how lack of money can influence someone’s life, and didn’t like it. The boy was getting ready to order lunch when he saw one of his friends getting a cold sandwich instead of getting a hot lunch like all of the other kids.
As it turned out, his friend didn’t had enough money left in his account to get a decent lunch. The whole moment left Cayden feeling deeply disturbed.
So he went home and told his mom all about what he witnessed at school, asking her why such a thing occurred in the first place. And he wanted to help so that no kid at his school would ever have to go through anything like this ever again.
