Listening to their mother’s voices is a comforting experience for all babies. It’s a way for mothers to bond with their infants and make their presence known. However, not all babies get to experience listening to their mothers’ comforting voices!
Little Charly, the adorable infant in the video below, was born profoundly deaf. There was nothing doctors could do to restore her hearing, but thanks to a pair of hearing aids, Charly is now able to hear her mother’s loving voice.
Emotional video footage shows the precious moment little Charly uses the hearing aids for the first time, and her response to discovering how he mom sounds like is one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a while. As soon as mom starts speaking, the baby’s eyes fill with tears of happiness. Of course, the baby is still too young to use words to express how she feels, but there is really no need for that. It’s obvious that the baby’s girl heart is filled with joy and happiness judging by her precious facial expressions.
“We had our miracle moment that I have been praying for when Char got her hearing aids today,” the mother wrote on Instagram. “We didn’t think she would hear anything so this was more incredible than I can put in to words. I pray my touch and presence is enough to reassure her throughout the day…When this sweet child locks her eyes on mine, I just know she feels our love for her, our protection, and our hopes!”
