American firefighters who came to help fight the devastating fire in Australia were greeted with applause at Sydney Airport, CNN reports. Sean Snyder, an Alabama firefighter, is part of the group. His wife, Autumn Snyder, told CNN she was happy to see how the American firefighters were welcomed. She added that her husband volunteered to go on this mission that will last at least 30 days. The mission of American firefighters comes in response to the fact that Australia and New Zealand have sent firefighters to help those in the US for over 15 years, according to the Forest Service in Talladega, Alabama.
