A Magellanic penguin that migrates from Patagonia and a retired bricklayer in a Brazilian fishing village are best friends and their story is just as odd as you would expect it to be. For the last four years, the penguin has been spending his days and night with a retired man who lives in a shack by the sea. The penguin disappears into the ocean for several months at a time, but he always comes back to his old friend. The penguin was socked in oil, washed away on the beach when the man found him in 2011. He took the bird in, fed him and the two have been best friends ever since.
