As a parent, your kids are your priority, doesn’t matter how old they are. All parents know this: just because kids are all grown up and are out of the house doesn’t mean they are also out of your life. In fact, it’s quite the opposite of that.
My mom still calls me every day to ask me if I’ve eaten and to remember me to put on a hat when it’s cold out. And I love her for that. However, I’ll be the first to admit that it can sometimes get pretty annoying. I don’t always remember to call my mom back when I missed a call from her.
In all fairness, I sometimes don’t answer on purpose.
I know it’s not the best way of handling this situation, but I’m sure many college students do the same and can relate to this. It’s a tricky situation that often results in some hilarious conversations taking place between parents and their college kids, typically via text.
